Boracay 2016 - 4 Days 3 Nights DIY Itinerary

It was always been part of my bucket list to travel solo before I get married. So, when Skyjet offered their rainy season seat sale last May and I saw that tickets for Manila-Caticlan-Manila flight is only a little over 2,000 pesos, I immediately decided to go.

BJ, my fiance, hesitated on the idea of me travelling alone and suggested that I should take my sister, Janine, with me. I initially wanted to throw the idea. Duh. I wanted to go solo traveling, solo means alone. But immediately took the advice since we have the same taste and it would be a good opportunity for her to fly first time. So, I booked 2 return tickets from Manila to Caticlan without even asking her. Duh. Its suppose to be a surprise. Haha.

When my cousin, Buneneng, knew that Janine and I will be going to Boracay on August, she asked me if she could come along. Hay. I guess I won't be adding a check on my bucket list today. Haha. So, when another seat sale came along she booked a flight that coincides with ours (she wasn't able to book the same flights because there wasn't enough seats within her budget).

Since the trip is scheduled few months from the time we booked our plane tickets, I was able to jump from one accommodation to another through Agoda. We, however, landed in one of the bedrooms in a modest hostel called Lola's Lodge, located directly behind Shop Mart in Station 2.

So, our daily itinerary for our Boracay trip last August 27 - 30 is as follows:
Day 1 - Arrival, and ATV
Day 2 - Helmet Diving, Parasailing, and Puka Beach
Day 3 - Island Hopping, and Toilet Restaurant
Day 4 - Departure

Bicol 2016 - 2 Days and 2 Nights DIY Itinerary

I have gone to several places (and countries), even got to see the very rare Mt Fuji in Japan and Mt Iraya in Batanes. But I'm still intrigued to see the, dubbed, "most perfect cone" Mt Mayon of Albay. So, when our recently resigned officemate, Jhacel, invited us (more of we forced ourselves) to come to their place in Nabua, Camarines Sur (a town between Naga and Albay), we decided to come without a blink of an eye. I have never gone to any province in Bicol. It's pretty much because of imagining the butt aching estimated 10 hr ride to and from there. But when an unplanned, adrenaline-fueled trip comes in your way, you just can't say no. So on September 16, after a quick dinner, we opt to leave Ortigas and of we go to Bicol. Woohoo! I will be creating a day per day detailed article on our Bicol trip, but for now, I will be providing you with our daily itinerary. Just a quick disclaimer though, we stayed in Jhacel's place so no accommoda...

Wedding Supplier Ratings and Reviews

I know, I promised to update this page as much as I can but its been months since my last entry. Reason? I GOT MARRIED. Yes. You read that right. After (literally) 10 years, we finally got married. And we got super busy these past few months. That's why I had to pause updating this blog. Anyhow, its been 2 weeks since our dream wedding. And this entry will center mainly on our reviews and ratings for our chosen suppliers whom helped us to fulfill our dream wedding. 1. Primary Hotel - Crosswinds Resorts Suites ★★★★     BJ attended a wedding and the couple had this hotel as their prep hotel. He immediately told me that it will be perfect if we'll have it as our prep hotel as well. So I booked 2 2-Bedroom Suites months prior our wedding through Agoda. I had it at almost half its published price.  Photo c/o my FB Page     I wasn't able to get the actual photos of the suite (syempre excited). But the whole place was super worth your money. The suit...

Caramoan Islands 2017

Almost a year after our Naga-Legaspi trip , we are back to a more bum-numbing 14 hour trip to Caramoan Island in Bicol. Many would ask why would I subject myself to this self torture. But once you're there you'll be asking yourself why not. With a storm land-falling in North Luzon that night, some of our companions were hesitant to leave. Some even bailed. But hell with it. We're going south anyways so the trip must go on. So, after ordering a to-go dinner we were bound to Bicol. After what felt like a forever drive, we finally arrived in Presentacion, a humble municipality in Camarines Sur prior to Caramoan. After a heavy brunch and a couple of hours rest, we headed out to start the day. We went to an island named Aguirangan. Just 10 minutes from the main island you can walk around the island in less than 30 minutes. But with its stunning white sand and rock formations you'll definitely be awed by its beauty. I was even able to see an octopus h...
