It was always been part of my bucket list to travel solo before I get married. So, when Skyjet offered their rainy season seat sale last May and I saw that tickets for Manila-Caticlan-Manila flight is only a little over 2,000 pesos, I immediately decided to go. BJ, my fiance, hesitated on the idea of me travelling alone and suggested that I should take my sister, Janine, with me. I initially wanted to throw the idea. Duh. I wanted to go solo traveling, solo means alone. But immediately took the advice since we have the same taste and it would be a good opportunity for her to fly first time. So, I booked 2 return tickets from Manila to Caticlan without even asking her. Duh. Its suppose to be a surprise. Haha. When my cousin, Buneneng, knew that Janine and I will be going to Boracay on August, she asked me if she could come along. Hay. I guess I won't be adding a check on my bucket list today. Haha. Our second day started pretty late. Mostly because we were all whining that we all lack sleep and an airconditioned room puts the icing on top of our bumming. Haha. After taking a bath and eating our scrumptious breakfast (prepared by Jhacel of course), we already said our goodbyes and see you agains. We then head for the town's plaza, to ride on a UV van bound for Naga that will drop us of at CamSur Watersports Complex. Upon arriving at the plaza, we were welcomed by a very long line of passengers bound to Naga. With a limited number of vans and a lot of people going to Naga (I think it was the last day of the feast of Our Lady of Peñafrancia), we got stranded in the plaza for a couple of hours before we were able to board a van. Whew. Upon arrival to CWC, I was in awe with the whole complex, it wasn't what I imagined. We arrived in Nabua, Camarines Sur at around 6:30 in the morning, butt aching, restless, no bathe since the morning before (since we came directly from the office) and hungry. WOW. Way to start a trip. We stayed at Jhacel's place to catch some quick z's, breakfast and bath.  At around 9:00 AM, we decided to leave for Naga to attend one of the hourly mass inside the Peñafrancia Cathedral and find a good location for the fluvial parade that will a happen around 4:00 PM.  After a couple of hours, we realized that we aren't getting anywhere. Hungry, we grab a quick lunch and rerouted back to Nabua going directly to Albay for, our long awaited, Mayon sight seeing. While on our way, the majestic volcano was hidden behind gigantic clouds, and got us a little discouraged that we might not be able to see the tip of the mountain. I have gone to several places (and countries), even got to see the very rare Mt Fuji in Japan and Mt Iraya in Batanes. But I'm still intrigued to see the, dubbed, "most perfect cone" Mt Mayon of Albay. So, when our recently resigned officemate, Jhacel, invited us (more of we forced ourselves) to come to their place in Nabua, Camarines Sur (a town between Naga and Albay), we decided to come without a blink of an eye. I have never gone to any province in Bicol. It's pretty much because of imagining the butt aching estimated 10 hr ride to and from there. But when an unplanned, adrenaline-fueled trip comes in your way, you just can't say no. So on September 16, after a quick dinner, we opt to leave Ortigas and of we go to Bicol. Woohoo! I will be creating a day per day detailed article on our Bicol trip, but for now, I will be providing you with our daily itinerary. I had this blog created 3 years ago but never got the time to write anything. I once uploaded several photos from my trip in Bohol when I created this blog with the intention of adding my story but ended up bumming on writing and got stuck with 3 photo documentations rather than articles. Today, I decided to delete this account. I started out by deleting those 3 photo documentations. But something came up to me. I started to update my profile photo and started writing this article. For some reason I just feel the urge to document some, if not most, of my memorable experiences. So, for now on, I will do my best to write whenever I can.
