Since BJ and I cannot leave work for long continues weeks. Plus our wedding happened in June, which is summer in most 4-seasoned countries. We'd like to experience all 4-seasons since we leave in a tropical country. We opt to delay our honeymoon trip just in time for autumn.
We were in argument first on where to go. I've always wanted to go to South Korea ever since I got addicted to K-Drama (so that's around 10 years) and BJ would like to explore the Kansai Region in Japan (since we weren't able to go there last year). We, at some point, considered going in both since there are budget airlines travelling between these two countries. After continued arguments, we eventually ended up going to South Korea. Yey for me. :)
Knowing that autumn foliage is quite unpredictable, we decided to find a late October to early November flight. This is because we're targeting the last part of autumn which showcase different hues of leaves.
Upon scouting different budget airlines going to Seoul, we ended up getting AirAsia's lone flight from Manila to Seoul. They only have 1 direct flight a day to and from Seoul and Manila but they have daily schedules so you'll be able to choose your desired dates (as of writing).
We then check Agoda and Airbnb for places to stay. We opt to find an apartment or hotel in the Seoul Station area for us to better navigate our way in the city. We ended up getting a humble studio type Airbnb Apartment owned by Maikle.
Without further adieu, below is our daily itinerary. I'll try to create individual post per day.
Day 1 - Arrival
Day 2 - Gapyeong Region - Nami Island, Petite France, and Garden of Morning Calm
Day 3 - Everland and Dongdaemun
Day 4 - Palaces - Changdeokgung, Bukchon Hanok Village, and Gyeongbokgung
Day 5 - Namsan Tower and Myeongdong
Day 6 - Departure
